i thought avatar only won like two. wouldn't it make a little more sense to do this on something like the hurt locker or even better, the lord of the rings: return of the king? that one got all 13 awards it was nominated for
First off, this article was written before the Academy Awards. Secondly we think that LoTR:Return of the King was an amazing movie. The acting, the cinematography, the music, special effects, writing, and the overall package. Avatar on the other hand was a generic American-feel-good movie. That's what the article is about. And again, The Hurt Locker was actually a really good movie in so many ways--regardless of how dissatisfying the plot line may have been.
