Looking at a book of Beatles pictures yesterday I realized that the band was pretty screwed up and full of weirdos (I also happened to watch "Hard Day's Night" last night and was reaquanted with the Beatles sense of humor). But then I tried to fake-stalk Ringo and find out about his family (like his three kids) but all I really found out was his son Zac was a not-as-good drum player who was a stand in for Keith Moon sometimes and has a daughter (subsequently Ringo's granddaughter) who decided against the drum path. I also happened to find that Ringo is touring the US right now as "Ringo Starr and his all Starr band". I make no plans to go see that.

Power Outage

So yesterday the power went out at school and we got a half day, and I got to do a lot of procrastinating/relaxing etc. I got to watch a NCIS episode last night because I finished what little homework I was assigned early, so that was fun. But mostly I just put off doing my biology paper.

After waiting for about two hours to go home, I got to have a Friends marathon with a bunch of friends who ride my bus. We watched about five or six episodes and ate pizza :)

Lights Out

So, for those of you who don't know yet, we all owe Emma a thank you. It appeared that she was absent from school yesterday when we had the power outage, but that's just what she wants you to think. We have discovered that Emma teleported to the school, and because she's a nice person, used her patented violist-ninja skills to cut the power. So whenever you see Emma, tell her "Thank you!" Just don't tell her why.

As most of you know, the two main roles of Cherie Currie and Joan Jett are being played by childhood star Dakota Fanning, and Twilight's Kristen Stewart. Now for those of you who've seen Twilight, you know how Stewart acts. Personally, I'm extremely worried about the heavy role that she's been given, but we want to know what you think. 3D Catastrophe

It's just a review but I wanted to show you guys this to tell you about what I think. I've always liked Dreamworks animation, and their movies have never really disappointed (minus two and three of Shrek, the original was great though). This one gets great talk of it's soaring flight scenes, apparently it's just like the flying scenes in Avatar-which is great considering I didn't go see it in 3D. However, as far as I can tell you can only see this movie in 3D. There are a couple reasons this is a problem: firstly, I think it's kind of disappointing. There are always one or two scenes where you can tell they were talking in the cutting room and saying "THIS IS GOING TO BE THE COOLEST SCENE EVER, exceptitsgoingtobereallylamein2D" (in a creepy man voice to boot). And secondly, as someone with less than optimal vision it gets to be annoying trying to push your glasses close to your eyes with a second pair of big clunky (or flimsy, it depends on the movie) 3D glasses over them. Though I still plan on going to see the movie, I'm interested in finding out if anybody else is. Let us know if you find yourself wanting to go to this or any other 3D movies.
